Frequently asked questions.

Will I need to budget for a whole new wardrobe after the Closet Edit Service?

Absolutely not. The beauty of this service is finding the gold within what you already own. Clients often find that they have far more to work with than they thought so actually end up saving money by using what is in your closet now!

Will Leah tell me to throw away everything she doesn’t like?

This is a collaborative exercise. Leah wants to know the why behind the pieces in your closet and find clothes that are serving you. The closet edit helps assess your wardrobe with fresh eyes. Maybe that skirt just needs to be hemmed to use again? Maybe the seams on that suit can be let out so you can keep wearing it. Leah doesn’t believe in mindless consumption. You should come out of the edit with a new appreciation for things you own.

What if I have a lot of fast fashion pieces? Can Leah work with that?

Leah believes the most sustainable clothes anyone has are the clothes they already own. And fast fashion pieces can last a long time as long as they’re of good construction with a durable fabric. Leah will help sort out which pieces will wear the best and talk about caring for garments to extend their life. Not everyone wants or needs a designer closet!

I don’t feel comfortable inviting someone into my house. Is a virtual Closet Edit possible?

Absolutely. Your home is a sanctuary and inviting a professional into your home may not feel comfortable. Leah has a service itinerary specifically for virtual clients! After some initial communications, a video call will be scheduled so Leah can see you in your clothes to understand how certain pieces fit/drape and wear. The client still takes home the same deliverables and gets all the benefits of the in-person service without an in-home visit.

Will Leah make me to wear things I don’t like or feel comfortable wearing?

No! Leah is not on a mission to make her clients look like her. Even if you originally connected with Leah over her particular style sense, for instance, Leah still wants you to look like you! This is not a makeover. Leah will take into account your work, lifestyle and closet needs to help give direction to your wardrobe to help make getting dressed an stress-free (maybe even exciting?) part of your day.
